This is a standard project across the Art curriculum. Follow the general guidelines on this page.

For this course, you will make an 11x17" poster, a booklet, or a cd/album cover that relates to an important figure in the world of art and design. Choose someone from this list:

You may research and choose a different artist or art movement if you like (with permission of instructor). Check out Parkland's Graphic Design History site for some ideas.

What you need to do:

Read the guidelines, and complete the project. This project will be completed in stages, so you will be required to turn in your research, sketches, etc. before the final project is due.

What you need to turn in:

Your completed Art History Project, saved as "AH_astudent.jpg"

Your completed document, saved as "AH_astudent.doc"

What I will be grading:

Each part that is collected will count for homework/lesson credit, and the final project will be graded according to the following criteria:

Technical Outcomes: Dependent on project. Finished project will be appropriately sized, cleanly presented, correct format, etc. Statement and documentation is correctly formatted and free of errors.

Formal Outcomes: Finished poster is completed in the style of the artist/movement selected.

Conceptual Outcomes: N/A
