A portrait of the artist’s mother, somewhat exaggerated to emphasize the lines in her face. These lines represent both the passage of time and the stress of daily life, the growing up and growing out of a difficult childhood, and the stoicism I see in her. The print was created for the Brand/rebrand/DeBrand exchange portfolio organized by Maggie Denk-Leigh at the Cleveland Institute of Art.
