Fleur d'Eliza

Aluminum Plate Photo-Lithograph

22x22" paper

15x15" image

2008

Edition of 25

Printed at Murray State University by the BFA Printmaking students of Nicole Hand.

This image was inspired by a Larry Poons composition, and a photograph of my daughter Eliza playing soccer. The golden color is an allusion to the "preciousness" of youth (and the color of her hair!), and the optical illusion of the dots that seem to recede and project reflect the illusory nature of our memories, vision and basic understanding of life as we know it.
